Restorations

What Goes Into a Restoration?

Restoring a classic jukebox is a labour of love and expertise. Each restoration project we undertake is guided by the belief that a jukebox is only as good as the care and attention given during the restoration process. Our comprehensive approach includes:

  • Selector Mechanism: We strip, degrease, and completely rebuild the selector mechanism to ensure smooth and reliable operation.
  • Amplifier Rebuild: The heart of the sound, the amplifier, is meticulously rebuilt to deliver that signature jukebox sound with clarity and warmth.
  • Microswitch Replacement: All microswitches are replaced to guarantee long-lasting functionality and precision.
  • Electrical Components: We clean and adjust all open blade contacts, replace all fluorescent chokes, and install a new cartridge and stylus for optimal performance.
  • Speaker Restoration: Original speakers are carefully re-coned to maintain authentic sound quality while ensuring durability.
  • Cosmetic Refinements: Any visible mechanism parts are repainted, damaged or faded interior trim is replaced, and cabinets are refinished inside and out as necessary.
  • Chrome and Anodised Parts: Inferior or worn parts are re-chromed or re-anodised to restore their original lustre and protect them for years to come.
  • Exterior Details: Back doors and exterior trim parts are repainted to complete the jukebox’s stunning appearance.
